Small Wonders is a fundraising art raffle event where each donated work of art will be sold for a raffle ticket of $100. Tickets will be sold throughout the run of the show. All tickets must be purchased in person at the gallery. There is no limit to the number of tickets that may be purchased, and there will be as many tickets available as artworks, so everyone is guaranteed to win something. Raffle picks will be conducted Saturday, December 17th from 4 to 7. Winners may pick up their works as they are awarded.
Pharmaka Art is a nonprofit art gallery that has been in operation since February 2005. Pharmaka Art’s Mission is to bridge the gap between the commercial galleries and the museums of Los Angeles. Los Angeles is home to one of the most creative artistic forces in the world. Pharmaka Art’s goal is to exhibit curated shows that address the pluralistic nature of the contemporary art scene with a focus on painting.

About the Juror: Tyler Stallings is chief curator Laguna Art Museum. His curatorial projects focus on contemporary art and popular culture. Most recently, he organized Pervasion: The Art of Gary Baseman and Tim Biskup (2006), Paul Paiement: Hybrids 1.0-3.5 (2005), Deborah Aschheim: Neural Architecture (a nervous building is a smart building) (2004), Whiteness, A Wayward Construction (2003) and Surf Culture—The Art History of Surfing (2002). Presently, he is working on In the Land of Retinal Delights: The Juxtapoz School. Past exhibitions that he has organized include: Cyborg Manifesto, or the Joy of Artifice (2001); Stephen Hendee: Presence Control (2001); Sandow Birk's 'In Smog and Thunder: Historical Works from the Great War of California' (2000); Elizabeth Olbert: Big Country (1999); Simon Leung: Surf Vietnam (1998); Rubén Ortiz Torres: Desmothernismo (1998, traveled); Kara Walker: African't (1997); Robert Williams: New Work (1997, traveled); Are We Touched? Identities From Outer Space (1997); Grind: The Culture and Graphics of Skateboarding (1995), among others. His writings on art have appeared in Art Papers, Art.issues, Poliester, zingmagazine, and the LA Weekly, among others. He is also the co-editor of the anthology, Uncontrollable Bodies: Testimonies of Identity and Culture (Seattle: Bay Press, 1994). Several profile articles have been written about his curatorial work. He has appeared as a commentator on the arts on regional and national TV and radio. He has also lectured at museums and universities around the U.S.
